Platform Number: how to use the result
Check the station and service date
Platform information belongs to a particular station and train run. Confirm both before using the number. A platform at the origin does not describe the platform at your intermediate boarding station.
Treat the number as provisional
A displayed platform is planning information and may change for operational reasons. On arrival, read the station display and listen for announcements. Check the train number; two services can have similar names.
Missing does not mean unassigned
If RailQ has no platform result, the provider may simply lack the information. Ask at the station or use official enquiry. Never cross railway tracks to reach a different platform; use the designated bridge, subway or accessible route.
