Live Train Status: how to use the result

Choose the correct running date

Use the train number from your ticket and check which date the service started from its first station. A train that started yesterday may reach your boarding station today. Choosing today’s origin date can show a different run of the same train.

Read the update time as well as the delay

A reported location is the last location supplied by the provider, not a promise of continuous GPS tracking. For example, a 25-minute delay reported at 14:10 does not establish the position at 14:40. Compare the update time, last reported station and next halt before deciding when to leave.

If the service is unavailable

Check the train number and date once, then use NTES for an official running enquiry. A missing response does not mean the train is cancelled or on time. Confirm platform changes through station displays and announcements.
