A booking date tells you when to prepare. A chart-time estimate helps you plan a status check. A refund calculation is an estimate, not an approved refund. Verify the applicable action in your booking account.
A worked example
Planning example: before cancelling a family ticket, identify who will travel, read each current status, check the amount shown by the booking service and save its acknowledgement. Do not cancel everyone just to investigate one passenger’s uncertainty.

Use the relevant charting departure
The input is a planning reference, not a live chart feed. The origin or previous charting station may control your booking. Entering an intermediate boarding time without checking the charting location can give a misleading estimate.
Do not confuse a countdown with chart status
When the estimated time passes, check your PNR’s chart field. Do not assume chart preparation has finished or infer a confirmed berth. The first chart and final chart are different events.
Plan your decision before leaving home
Set a private check before travelling to the station and another before boarding. Keep cancellation decisions separate: their deadlines and applicable claim process should be checked through the booking service.
