A booking date tells you when to prepare. A chart-time estimate helps you plan a status check. A refund calculation is an estimate, not an approved refund. Verify the applicable action in your booking account.
A worked example
Planning example: before cancelling a family ticket, identify who will travel, read each current status, check the amount shown by the booking service and save its acknowledgement. Do not cancel everyone just to investigate one passenger’s uncertainty.

Cancellation Deadline Calculator: how to use the result
Use scheduled departure, not a live delay
Enter the relevant scheduled departure and choose the actual passenger status. This tool marks time windows; it does not establish eligibility for every reason for cancellation. A delayed train should not automatically be entered as a later scheduled departure.
A deadline is not a refund promise
Ticket type, charting and the claim reason matter. In a mixed family booking, one passenger’s confirmed status does not describe everyone. Open the official booking and check the permitted cancellation or TDR action before the applicable cutoff.
Keep proof of the action
Save the cancellation or claim acknowledgement and submission time privately. Setting a reminder or calculating a cutoff does not submit a cancellation. Leave enough time to complete the official process rather than starting at the boundary.
