Seat Availability
Check class and quota availability for a selected journey.
Compare up to three trains
Use the same boarding station, destination, class and date. Each train needs a seat check and a fare check. Results appear as each train is checked.
A missing result is not a sold-out train. Availability and fares can change; verify the final price and ticket conditions when booking.
Seat Availability: how to use the result
Keep the search conditions identical
Enter the train, boarding and destination stations, journey date, class and quota. A result for another class or shorter section is not availability for your intended journey. Compare alternative dates one at a time so you know which change produced the result.
Read availability before making payment
An available count is a snapshot; it is not a seat held for you. WL/7 is a waiting position, not berth 7. After paying through your booking service, check the status on the issued ticket rather than assuming it matches an earlier search.
No result versus no seats
An error or empty provider response means availability could not be checked. It must not be read as “sold out”. Use the official booking service for the same stations, date, class and quota before changing your plans.
Examples are illustrative. If you find an error, send the page address and a source for the correction. Corrections process
Seat Availability: official verification
RailQ is an independent travel utility. Live results depend on provider availability, and the official railway record remains the final authority.
