Coach Position: how to use the result
Coach order is not a berth allocation
Match your coach label, such as B2 or S4, to the displayed sequence. The sequence helps you locate a coach along the train; it does not tell you which passenger owns a berth. Read your ticket or current PNR for that allocation.
Confirm the direction on the platform
Do not assume the left side of a diagram is the end nearest the station entrance. Check the engine direction and coach indicators. Rake changes or reversals can make an earlier diagram unsuitable for your departure.
If your coach is missing
Recheck the train and service date, then ask railway staff or use the station’s coach guidance display. Avoid running along a platform based only on a third-party diagram. Allow extra walking time for children, luggage or limited mobility.
