Compare the berth arrangement inside Sleeper, 3A and 2A coaches. Choose the pattern matching your coach.

Match the capacity and numbering with your actual coach. These are selected standard patterns, not every Indian Railways coach. No PNR is needed. WL/12 is a waiting position, not berth 12.

SL in a berth label means Side Lower; SL as a travel class means Sleeper. This tool does not check vacancy, confirmation, coach position or berth entitlement.

Coach Layout Viewer: how to use the result

Why is no coach layout available for this train?

An unavailable layout does not prove that a train has no reserved coaches. The service may not supply a map for that coach variant, or the train, journey date or boarding station may not match. Check those details once. Use IRCTC Charts / Vacancy when available, your allocated ticket details or railway staff. RailQ’s diagrams are illustrative and are not fetched for a particular train.

Sleeper and 3A compared with 2A

The selected standard Sleeper and 3A patterns use an eight-berth sequence: two lower, two middle, two upper and two side berths. The selected 2A pattern uses six: two lower, two upper and two side berths, without middle berths. Coach capacities and end sections vary; do not infer the whole train’s arrangement from its class name alone.

Coach position is a different question

A coach layout explains accommodation inside a coach. Coach position tells you where that coach sits along the train. Use the coach-position tool for the latter, then confirm the platform display and announcements. A berth map cannot determine which end of the platform you should stand at.
