Refund Calculator
Estimate the deduction and expected refund before cancelling.

A booking date tells you when to prepare. A chart-time estimate helps you plan a status check. A refund calculation is an estimate, not an approved refund. Verify the applicable action in your booking account.
A worked example
Planning example: before cancelling a family ticket, identify who will travel, read each current status, check the amount shown by the booking service and save its acknowledgement. Do not cancel everyone just to investigate one passenger’s uncertainty.

Refund Calculator: how to use the result
Enter the total fare for the selected passengers
Use the combined ticket fare for the passengers being estimated, not a per-person amount multiplied again. Select their class, status and normal or Tatkal ticket type. If passengers have different statuses, calculate comparable groups separately and confirm the booking’s actual treatment.
Worked example: compare the same fare basis
Suppose the entered total is ₹2,000 and the applicable deduction is ₹500. The arithmetic estimate is ₹1,500. This illustrates subtraction only, not a railway refund entitlement. Taxes, non-refundable service charges and exceptional claims can make the settled amount different.
Complete the official cancellation separately
The tool neither cancels a ticket nor files a TDR. Check the action available in your booking account, including the chart status. Keep its acknowledgement and follow the refund there; RailQ cannot approve or accelerate payment.
