01How do I check my confirmation chances?
Enter your PNR and check the result. For an eligible WL/RAC booking, select Check confirmation chance below the passenger details. The optional estimate is supplied by RailRadar when available.
02Is the confirmation prediction guaranteed?
No. It is a PNR-level estimate, not a separate score for each passenger or permission to travel. Check each passenger’s final status in the official railway record.
03Why might no confirmation estimate appear?
Predictions are not available for every booking. The option is shown for supported WL/RAC results when the feature is enabled. A provider outage or unsupported response can also make an estimate unavailable; your current PNR status remains separate.
04What is a railway PNR number?
PNR means Passenger Name Record. Indian railway reservations use a 10-digit number to identify the booking record.
05Can PNR status change after booking?
Yes. Waiting-list and RAC positions can change as passengers cancel or railway allocation changes, including around chart preparation.
06What does chart prepared mean?
It means the reservation chart for the train has been prepared. Check the current passenger status and official record for the final travel position.
07Can I travel on a waitlisted ticket?
Eligibility depends on the ticket type, final chart status and current railway rules. Do not rely on a generic answer—verify the final status through the official railway enquiry before boarding.
08Does RailQ save my PNR?
Your PNR is not included in our analytics. The number is used to request your result.
Understand your PNR before making a decision
Current status describes your booking now. A confirmation estimate concerns a possible future outcome; it is not a confirmed berth. Check every passenger separately.
A worked example
Illustrative example: Passenger 1 is CNF and Passenger 2 is WL/5. A booking-level estimate of 80% does not mean Passenger 2 has a berth. Verify both rows before deciding to travel.

PNR Status: how to use the result
Example: a waiting position is not a berth
In an illustrative result, booking WL/9 and current WL/7 mean the passenger moved forward in the waiting list. Neither 9 nor 7 should be shown as an allocated berth. Read each passenger’s current status separately, even when everyone shares one PNR.
When only part of the result appears
A train name without passenger status is an incomplete response. Do not assume confirmation from the presence of train details. Check the official enquiry, and report missing fields using the page name and error description without posting your full ticket.
