Advance Booking Date Calculator
Calculate when the general advance reservation window is expected to open.
Keep booking, charting and refunds separate
A booking date tells you when to prepare. A chart-time estimate helps you plan a status check. A refund calculation is an estimate, not an approved refund. Verify the applicable action in your booking account.
A worked example
Planning example: before cancelling a family ticket, identify who will travel, read each current status, check the amount shown by the booking service and save its acknowledgement. Do not cancel everyone just to investigate one passenger’s uncertainty.

Advance Booking Date Calculator: how to use the result
Use the train’s origin date
Start with the date the train leaves its first station. If it starts on Monday and you board after midnight on Tuesday, those are different dates. The calculator subtracts the reservation window from the entered date; it cannot infer the train’s origin from your boarding station.
Understand the 60-day assumption
The general advance reservation period was reduced to 60 days, excluding the journey date, from 1 November 2024. Some services have shorter windows. Confirm the opening offered for your selected service rather than treating one calculation as a rule for every train.
Prepare the booking before the reminder
Write down two suitable trains, acceptable classes and exact station codes. An opening date does not guarantee availability. After booking, keep the official confirmation; a calendar event or calculator result is not a reservation.
