PNR, live running and reservation-dependent results are requested server-side from the configured railway-data provider. The browser never receives the provider key.
Calculations and estimates
Date, berth and connection tools apply documented rules or transparent heuristics. Every estimate is labelled and should be rechecked when the underlying rule can change.
Confidence labels
Provider data means it came from the connected feed. Planning estimate means it was calculated. Official link means the final decision belongs on the linked railway service. Not available means we do not know.
Who supplies confirmation estimates?
RailQ requests the optional probability from RailRadar and displays it as a booking-level estimate. RailQ does not train this prediction model or independently verify its accuracy. A missing estimate is not zero probability. Each passenger’s official current status remains separate from the estimate.
How connecting journeys are displayed
The planner uses RailRadar timetable routes with up to one train change. RailQ checks dates and calculates the scheduled gap between legs, filtering incomplete or insufficient-margin results. The gap is not a live delay forecast. Seats and fares require separate checks; RailQ does not link tickets or guarantee refunds for a missed connection.
