This tool uses your answers. It cannot open your ticket or sign you up for VIKALP. Check your booking history on IRCTC to see whether VIKALP is offered. Review the other trains listed there.
An option is not an allocation
Choosing VIKALP does not guarantee a seat. If you get another train, check its boarding station, departure time, destination and final PNR. It may use a nearby station instead of the one on your first ticket.
Compare the door-to-door journey
A later train from another station can require different transport and accommodation. Before selecting alternatives, decide which departures you could actually use. Follow the official terms for cancellation after an alternate allocation.
